In the revamp, or what was called “The New Model” of Coffee Meets Bagel, women were only shown matches who have already liked them as opposed to being shown a random user that fits the algorithm. After a couple of months, user testing and analytics showed that the new system still proved confusing to some. Animated hints were added to the UI to communicate the new methodology.
